I bought some clip on boro lenses to use with the sampler pack I bought a couple of years ago.

Am I supposed to wear them on top of the didys or just plain safety glasses?

If the clip-ons are light weight plastic, they are to be worn over your didys. All they provide is additional darkening. Your didys are still needed for the IR, UV, and yellow sodium flair.

...and keep in mind that the clip ons only are supposed to
last for a few months. The box I had said to replace them
after 6 months or when I started to notice fading (whichever
came first). When I finally caved and bought myself a good pair
of boro lenses, I could immediately see and feel the difference.

If you will be working with boro a lot in the future, you definitely
want to invest at least $200-$300 on a very good quality pair
of glasses specifically for boro. You only have one set of eyes,
and so far, you can't get new ones.

Thanks. Yes they are. The clip ons are Phillips brand shade 5. There was no useful information on the box.

Does that mean they don't cut out any specific wave length?

I'm only using a minor and 5 LPM concentrator so I suspect I won't be using it much. If it's really slow melting it my attention span won't last that long...

It's also why I haven't used the sampler pack yet - once it arrived I realised I'd forgotten to buythe safety lenses. Finally bit the bullet and bought them last week.
