Hi everyone,

I have a Toolbox Bead Annealer, and it's stopped working properly. I've gone to the troubleshooting pages, have checked all the connections, and have tried the reset.

At the moment, it simply switches on, goes to 950F, and stays there, maintaining the 950F until I switch off.

None of the buttons seem to work, I can't do anything with it!

Could anyone offer some advice, please?

thanks in advance,

Kirsty

Call the manufacturer. Sounds like the controller to me.

Mike

Yes, it is. I've been nice to it, (taken the lid off and had a look), there's nothing loose, it just doesn't want to play properly anymore!

OK so when you push the buttons nothing happens ?
If so it needs to be taken apart and cleaned, its not to bad to do but not fun either.
unplug it, pull the controller box off, squeeze to 2 white tabs on the back of the controller and pull back a 1/4 inch, lift the white part up and off the controller, pull the board out of the case, with a new pencil eraser rub down the contacts and the end of the rubber part of the buttons. put her back together and there you go.

I had that happen to my "Chili Pepper" kiln a few months ago. It was a bad resistor. I just called the maker and bought a new one with instructions. (It doesn't cost much and it was simple to take apart, then put back together.)

PS. it took about 15 minutes to do and I was ready to roll.
