a lentil is like a tab in that it's flat and round, but it's puffier in the center.
The wild woman beads in the second post in today's show & tell are lentils.
try doing a search for the word lentil from the search bar at the top of the screen. You should find links to all kinds of bead pics and press discussions.
Good Luck!

This bead was made using a lentil press. Lentil shaped presses are available from several sources like Catwalk and Zooziis.
See "Putting the Glass to the Brass: Masher Road Testing", by Annie Simpson, here: http://sgb-midatlantic.org/features/feature8_mashers.html
And also see the list of suppliers for presses, here: http://sgb-midatlantic.org/suppliers.html#Lentil Mashers
There is a very simple tutorial here: http://www.cattwalk.com/tutorials/lentils1.htm
