In general, and for fairly small disc beads, is it generally to encase CIM colors like crocus, halong bay and other translucent with Vetro or Effetre clear. Seems like a different type of glass in appearance, but I can't remember seeing a discussion of cracking problems.

Somewhere on LE there is a thread about some of the CIM blues cracking unless annealed at 1040 F. Halong Bay was one of them.

Encasing it, I don't know about that.

I have trouble encasing some of the CIM opaques. No matter how hot they are going into the kiln - they crack with whatever clear I use :( I guess I have to consider turning up my kiln, but then, I'll burn out the silver glass beads.
