My source for wine bottle stoppers has stopped carrying them.
I am looking for a new supplier.
How about it folks.
Who do you get yours from? :-D

I bought some from Armstrong Glass in Kennesaw, GA, on Saturday. Most of the wood turning suppliers have them as well, usually with a couple of different styles.

I buy the ones with the 1/2" rubber thingy screwed into the top. I usually get them from ABR.

If you want stainless, but cheaper,

http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?SKU=13029474

They sell them in the store and with a 20% coupon, I pay $8 for 3.

I like the ones that I've ordered from Delphi. They have both the long and the short mandrels. I only buy the short ones.

One thing I learned while fusing cabs for stoppers is the chrome plated stoppers shouldn't be used for longterm storage. The finish won't hold up. So they're ok for a bottle of wine for the evening, but you don't want to use them for fancy vinegar bottles or storing an open bottle in the fridge. For that you need stainless steel. The acids(?) in the wine and vinegars eat at the chrome finish.

The chrome stoppers are a lot less expensive though!

How do you use the ones from BB & Beyond for beads?

That top piece screws into the bottom so just take that off and just glue your piece over the hole. Easy peasy.

Oh! I was trying to figure out how you would stack beads on top like the Aanraku ones!
