Does anyone know a source and catalog number for transparent salmon color glass ? Preferable COE 104 but COE 96 would also work.

Effetre 712 is called Whisper. It is a pale salmon tint. I can't think of any other colors, besides mixing them yourself.

If you can do 90, Bullseye has a great salmon color called coral.

Carnelian opalino is translucent, but a nice salmon-y color.

Lauscha Peach rocks with Aurae and looks like beach glass etched!

There's an awesome Lauscha coral, but only Jodel has it.

I think that is opaque though...

Be careful with Lauscha peach transparent. It has compatibility issues with other 104 glass, or at least in did back in 2006. I used it as a base for a swirly cane of Effetre white/coral randomly swirled here and there so the base would show through in places. Such pretty beads, but each of two 15mm beads crackled apart in about 30 pieces like those crackled marbles! I had never seen such a bad incompatibility reaction.

Nope; it's transparent, and if you strike it long enough it can look like that papa(I can never spell it) crystal.

I've used it for the transparent layer on flowers, or a base for flowers. Haven't had it crack yet, but there's always a first time.

This is a first that I have ever heard about Peach. Lauscha does have to be annealed and has to go into the annealer glowing...I have used it a lot myself and never had any crack..And I can only make huge beads...If you are mixing with other things try annealing at 980 and slow down the ramp down time ...Paula

This wasn't anything to do with temp and I garage all beads glowing and anneal at 968. These beads fell apart after about a month and each one did it in around 30 or so very sharp crackly pieces. Like they exploded.

If it was a matter of annealing temp or garaging at the right moment, they would have been a clean split in half. I've had that happen to beads where I used Lauscha clear, and that was probably from not putting them away glowing.

Maybe Lauscha Peach is 102 or 105 COE? That would make it have problems with Effetre. If would I use it at all anymore, I probably use it with leaded transparent size #0 furnace glass frits or alone. It is pretty etched.

Lauscha suggests annealing at 980 especially when mixing manufacturers It is 104 glass and has been for ages.

So if you anneal this glass at 12 degrees less it's going to explode in 30-something pieces?? I'm not trying to argue here but I'm just stating my observation. I'm not exaggerating when I say these beads fell apart. Looked exactly like couple of those crackle marbles. Heck, I even cut my fingers getting the pieces out of my jewelry box!

I say to everyone to watch out for the Lauscha Peach. It does not play nice with other colors. But it's a good color to use by itself. I made a lot of plain spacers with it, and I'm sure some nice pressed beads could be made with it too.

I don't doubt that is happened but one of the other colors could have been off COE also. I have had Effetre topaz do the same thing with any other color except itself. We had a pow wow on the forum a few years ago with cracking Lauscha beads. Carol Anne (who works at Lausha) replicated just about every combination and then bounced them off the floor at the factory and showed the beads online without cracks. She did find 2 colors that weren't entirely compatible but Peach wasn't one of them. Maybe because no one ever had peach explode before. Anyway today's Peach is a new batch and yes it should be annealed at 980. It does make a difference. Paula

I'm looking really hard, and I'm not finding the "big deal" here.

Bullseye Sunset coral (90coe).....yum!!!

Remember any transparents can be overlayed on a clear, and it will also dilute the color more if you like.

The Reichenbach salmon is very intense and is best layered over white

This is really pretty. Lauscha transparents are a little stiffer though than Effetre so you need good heat to work them!
