If you are buying 104 dichro, where do you get it that it doesnt cost an absolute fortune?

$5.00 for 10g? you gotta be kidding me. that's $500 a kg!

Buying scrap from the US manufacturer. $67 a lb...much better, until you find out the postage on that 1lb is going to be over $80....WTF! I can have 10lb of glass sent for that much usually!

Help?

Sorry to say this, but I know what you mean. So I buy from Frantz when I take advantage of their specials. If you know what you like, get them in sheet form and slump it yourself. That's a bit cheaper too.

I bought some by the 1/4 sheet from Frantz and then cut it into strips etc. myself, it turned out heaps cheaper for what I was looking for.

I am sure if you shop about there will be other options for scrap dichro at the very least. The main problem I had was that there was an abundance of non-104 coe stuff about and bugger all 104 which was giving me the poops rather badly.

If I hear of any other good options I will sing out,

Nat :-)

Yes I would be quite happy to do that.

Depending on your order, it is when you throw in the international postage. I had an order ready to place with Franzt when they had a big sale going on. I worked everything out, and even with the sale, the postage added up to make it cheaper to order it from Kerry at Affordable.

Don't forget to check ebay for dichroic glass.

I did assume that offer was for an identical product.

I might have to ask if she sells the 1/4 sheets any cheaper.

I did send her an email earlier last week but have not yet heard anything...but aint we all busy.

R4 = FineArtbyRocio = http://www.fineartbyrocio.com/glass.html

Scroll down, near the bottom of the page. I love Rocio's Dichro best! The Silver/Clear is my favorite!
