Hi, I'm working on my website. Alex from www.pappashop.com has taken the website, and incorporated it into his program. I'm learning alot of new things. One of them is that the type face I'm using, Papyrus, is not recognized by computors unless the words are created and saved as a photo??? Hope I got that right. Has anyone done that before? How is it done? Thanks !!!!

you just type out what you want and how you want it and save it as a jpg.
and place that as an image on your site.

PC. I have a file with this font on it, but don't really get how to use it. It just a page with the type face on it with different sizes.

It says "Marcromedia Fontographer" I probably didn't down load it right.

if you can find the file that says papyrus.ttf put that in windows Font folder and you should have access to the font to use it in photoshop then....

yes go to your
C: drive
look in it till you find windows folder
open it and there should be a folder called FONTS
you can pop the papyrus .ttf file into it and it should work.

I have it here on my computer. If you need me to do a logo or anything, let me know. It won't take any time to do...

However, if you use it in the text of a web site, and the person viewing the site has it installed on their computer, it will show up fine. But, you don't want to count on someone else having it...

Okay, thank you both for your help.

Thanks to Chad for sending me the font. Tonight I downloaded the font, opened the control panel, selected classic view, open fonts, install new font, selected from the drive I saved the font in, then select ok, and I was done.

I opened Word Perfect, and there it was. I typed what text I needed, saved it. Then open the file in photoshop elements, and save it there. I think that is it. Hope so. That is it for tonight anyway.

Okay, I have a book call Teach Yourself Visually, for Photoshop Elements 2. I understand the text tool now, didn't have a clue before. What I want is to create some headings for my website in the typeface Papyrus. With your help I did get this font on my computor.

I am confused as to which format the text should be saved as? gif or jpeg Thanks Ellen

Edit to add, I could always ask Alex at Pappashop to do this for me. Would be done in a second. But I would like to learn this myself.

Since you are creating just two color images save it as a "GIF"
(GIF files are 256 colors)

If you are working with photos of your beads save it as a "JPG"
(JPG files are 16 million colors) turn the compression to 0 in order to get the best quality
