So Cal FLame Surfers BOC Flame Date

Come to our third BOC Flame Date next Saturday Oct 9th. We will be making beads for BOC fm 9:00 am until 1:00 pm. We have a great time and as always there will be fun, prizes,and food.Come out and support this wonderful organization. All you need is your safety glasses and any favorite tools.

The glass that is in the BOC stash is 104, but feel free to bring whatever glass you want to work with. Just keep your hard gl(ass) away from my soft gl(ass)! :)

We want to welcome boro people too. You know the torch set up at PAG so if that works for you guys, I have some funds and can purchase some boro. It is you and your giving to BOC's kids that is important. It is a really nice way to spend a few hours and we need help reaching our goal number of beads.

Thanks to Pacific Art Glass, Judy (jujeebeads - who's pumpkin bread was awesome by the way!!!) and everyone who made this happen and who attended and worked hard to create beautiful beads during this event! :)

Wish I had been there earlier, but was glad for the time I had and the chance to show those who were interested my murrini application technique first-hand and to show my encasing method while making special beadies for the kids! :)

Special to my torch lighters, runners and everyone who encouraged, helped out, and brought goodies!

I had good intentions, took the camera, made sure the batteries were fresh, checked the memory card. But when I got there I only took a couple of pictures. But at least there are these two to prove that we really did make beads, didn't just eat and visit!

They do work their patooties off for these events but they love it and are so dedicated not to mention it is such a worthy cause . Stacy Lynne you are not just a "small part" of this. You donate your time even when you have your plate totally full. You help with the raffles, help everyone out who needs it & make sure the oxygen and propane exchanges are done, make us laugh and volunteer to be a runner to the kiln. Don't under estimate your efforts sweetie, we ALL know how big your heart is and you make it FUN!!

Yeah, it's going to be a blast!! If you and your mom want to bring some things to sell in the store let Judy know and she will send an inventory form. If you have any extra beads laying around you can also donate something towards the raffle. It doesn't have to be a bead, just something that someone would like to win in a raffle, can be jewelry or a beadable item.

Hi there~

We are very fortunate that our bead making schedule is full at this point. We have had many folks step up and we also have our other volunteers set as well.

However, donations are always welcome! We have many beautiful pieces for our raffle, and could always use more. At this point donations for the raffle may be put into the "store" at BOC's discretion.

If anyone would like to donate beads, please PM me for more info. We MUST receive the donations by this thursday, April 14th. We are setting up on the 15th.

Thanks for all the interest! We hope you can make it there. Aside from the 6 torches going for 6 hours of bead making, Don McKinney will have the hot shop going and will be demoing paper weights and what ever else he dreams up.
