I am fairley new to beadmaking and making a few little holiday items with a great Christmas red (104 COE). When it cooled it was more of a brownish ....how can I keep it the true red? Lower heat? HELP!!!

Work it with a cooler flame - that usually helps.

Cooler flame. For a transparent red, I use CiM Sangre. It rarely turns brown.

Sangre and Lauscha red are awesome!!! Wind the beads out a bit further than normal, and then strike a couple times to get nice colour.

I find that sangre is the most forgiving red out there, and relatively inexpensive.
