Q about hose for 2 oxycon hookup

When I ordered the hose for my 2 5lpm oxycon hookup the hose that came is the diameter of a hose that would be hooked to an oxygen mask about 6mm in diameter. Is this the correct size? In looking at other setups it seems the hoses coming from the oxycon to the T are larger. I am afraid I am not getting all the oxygen that I could be getting. Thanks for any info you can give me.

Many use standard green welding hose with an ID of 1/4 inch. Others use a variety of plastic tubing found at Lowe's/Home Depot.
