I have this lot of rubino that has very clear unstruck rods. Is this the newer version of a "light rubino" ?? I have an old lot (just one rod left) and it's a pretty red wine color, which looks similar to Bullseye's cranberry pink. I don't have trouble with that one though.

This stuff stinks! Or is it me?! I can't get it to strike back except in little blotches here and there. Maybe I'm working too hot?? I have a Bobcat on a generator and I have been turning the flame way down. I soooo want to try it on opal yellow for an idea I have but I sure don't want to waste any OY if this rubino will mess it up.

It's been around a while, their is a thread on wet canvas by mike frantz that suggests kiln striking it, I've heard others just use it as is.

I have some but haven't tried it yet.

Try working it cool with an oxygen rich flame, then cool it way down before striking it.
