I know that we can use 96 COE frit with 104 COE beads because of the high lead content (5%, yada, yada). My question is, if the 96 COE frit is lead-free, does that mean i can't use it at all?

If so, does anyone have any Kugler 46? (Capri Blue)
TIA!
would you use system 96 frit? its about the same thing. likely to be a personal call.

I have it in my eBay store, and nobody has ever complained about it, so I imagine it's ok. Been selling it for over 2 years now.

So, are you saying the Kugler is the same as the Reichenbach?

I've used and sold Kugler and Reichenbach frits for a long time now and I don't see any compatibility issues with either one of them. I've used them with Bullseye, Spectrum, Uroborus, Moretti, Lauscha, Vetrofond and Czech glass and they are all compatible.
I've used some Kugler and Reichenbach frits which are lead free with the above-mentioned soft glass and so far so good, my beads come out ok, and I have not had any complaints. I have not used System 96 frits though, so I would proceed with caution until you have made some test beads with it.

I was just going to post a question related to this so is it okay if I ask it here? What is the COE of Reichenbach and Zimmerman and can they be used with Bullseye? It sounds like you are saying they work fine together Alex.
I've used a lot of frits with Uroboros, Bullseye, and 104 COE - Gaffer, Reichenbach, Zimmerman, and Kugler. No problems with any of them I assume, no customer complaints yet.
I use size #1 and mostly use #0, and I always roll the bead in the frit just one time to be safe.

Yup, that's what I'm saying. YES, you can use them with Bullseye.
Here are the COEs of the different frits:
Reichenbach Q Colors: COE 91-94
Kugler Transparents: COE 91-95
Kugler Opaques: COE 89-93
Zimmerman: COE 94

Thanks Alex. I also want to say that it seems like when there are glass questions, you are often one of the first people to answer....at least when I've had a question, that's how it's been. I want you to know I really appreciate the fact that you take time to respond....not just to me but to so many of us.

You're welcome! I try to give back as much as I can, because I still remember being a very confused newbie and asking the same questions!
