There is a bead museum in Carmel Valley, CA.
I heard they have the largest collection of ancient “white hearts”.
I think this is the museum: http://www.picardbeads.com/
I know that does not help you but I thought I would throw it out there…
Cool bead museum site!! Thanks, Nicole! The so-called "classic" white hearts are these Venetian red ones: http://www.picardbeads.com/trade_beads/cat28.html.
There is a wonderful old antique three-strand necklace in the Millicent Roger Museum that is made mostly with those Venetian red white hearts, plus some turquoise and silver. I want it baaaaad. Beautiful colors.

Wow, lots of the trade beads are also for sale! And the prices aren't bad at all - might make nice accents with some modern lampwork.
