Jessica Irven with the Recreational Therapy and Child Life department is the coordinator for this training session. I don't have too many details but if you check in at the main desk at the hospital and tell them you are a visiting artist there for the Beads of Courage Training they should be able to help get you there. Jean can be reached a jbaruch (at) beadsofcourage.org. Hope you can make it!!

Is it either session or both sessions?
What do you learn?

Debbie, it's either session. You would be in training with the staff members at the hospital who administer the BOC program to the kids so you'd be learning the history of BOC, the research behind the program, the clinical aspects, the nuts and bolts of implementation and finally and best of all, the staff would be able to meet the artists who make the special beads for the kids! It is really great for them to meet you in person and to make that connection and hear a little bit about how you make your beads.

ETA: You'll be meeting Jean Baruch, the founder and president of BOC too. Jean is an amazing and wonderful woman and she'll be giving the training.
