I give up.
I posted the question here somewhere, but now I can't find it.
I received some free rods to play with.
Now I want to order some of my own.
What do you recommend that I order, how much, and from where?

Thanks in advance.:waving:

Where do you live? I buy from Frantz in Washington State.

Maybe you should buy an assortment to see what you like. They sell sample packs.

What kind of glass do you want to use? Effetre and Vetrofond are the cheapest and they have a good variety of colors.

more guidelines would help us give you useful answers...
many considerations. type of glass you want to use...
where you are. Shipping can run a huge amount and if you are close to a decent dealer it can save you a small fortune to pick it up- that then makes your who choice for you. ;)
what is important to you? how much do you want to spend for a first order? averageing $12/lb or averaging $24/lb? what quantities do you want to order in? full pounds? single rods? different sellers have different options available.

by all means lovely glass to work with is easy to suggest... the seller that best fills your needs is a bit harder to suggest with no info...

Yipes. All that sounds so complicated.
Looks like I'd better read about the different glasses before I jump right in and order.

I have to assortments of glass to play with right now; I just don't know what any of it is, as none was marked.
I'm already seeing they behave differently in the flame.

Is Delphi ok?
I've already bought some supplies from them.

I've never bought drom Delphi. I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest a seller- and some sites to see the glass...

seller:
http://www.howacoglass.com/index.html

now here you can buy single rods of bullseye, effetre and uroborous. a wonderful thing indeed. you can also buy single stringers!! amazing. and a great way to try a glass or colors without selling ones soul.

refrence:

ChrisFishers color chart for effetre. at least you can see what the colors are... dependant on the quality of your monitor... :)

http://www.bullseyeglass.com/connection/education/torchtips/index.html

the bullesye education section... not only the colors but what they may react with... all good info. :)

I buy most of my glass from Moretti and More. Islandglass is the user name on ebay. Always lots of great deals on glass.
