I need a personal shopper when it comes to glass!
Living just 10 minutes from Wale, I have always purchased my glass there. They carry only Moretti.
It's time to expand and try some other glass, some new colors outside of Morretti but compatible with it.
Any suggestions? I'm looking for the "wow" colors!
Thanks for your help.
Lauscha has some pretty nice colors. Vetrofond has mostly the same colors as Moretti, though there are some different ones.
Kugler supposedly has some new colors in 104 glass. Pinks were mentioned on another thread that got zapped yesterday. I can't see them on their website however.

Now that sounds like fun, shopping for glass with someone else's money
I think Lauscha is probably the best next step. There is also Check glass, and they have a sampler (you want their soda glass, most of which is compatible). Vetrofond colors are often similar to Moretti, but the odd colors are different, often great. Vetrofond has the advantage of being very compatible with Moretti.
Also, as your personal shopper, are the certain colors you are attracted to? Pinks or blues or Greens? That might suggest a certain glass :)

Hmmm...I think I gravitate toward blues and greens. I haven't liked any of the pinks/purples I've bought so far. If Lauscha has a great pink, I'll give it a try.
I'm also trying to improve my organic beads so any color that would add interest to these...
What distributor do you use for Lauscha?
Thanks for you input!
If you like a soft, quick to melt glass try Satake. It comes in lots of pins and purples. It isn't compatable with Moretti tho. :(
<<<They carry only Moretti.>>>
Is this true?!! I thought Wale also sold Vetrofond. Wait a minute! They do! See: http://www.waleapparatus.com/walestore/categories/vertrofond.aspx
Vetrofond doesn't thrill me, really. I like the Czech glass for their wonderful transparent colors and I am beginning to like Lauscha for some of their weird colors. Beware of incompatibility, no matter what, despite claims that they all play well together. It ain't true.

Thanks, Jan...How ignorant of me. Everytime I go into their warehouse, they've only pointed me to the Moretti!
