Want to know how Satake rods are made?

I visited the factory and watched them pull rods.
You think the person who pulls glass have to run or at least walk quickly because glass hardens quickly, right? He walks backward very slowly. That's how long Satake remains soft.

Emiko, having to move slowly like that must make it even harder to get a straight and consistent size. Gives me a lot of respect for the people who pull our glass.
