View Full Interactive Version Of This Page : Coming Soon.... Color Theory for Glass Beadmakers

I am working on a new book dedicated to color theory for the glass beadmaker. This will likely be a lot longer than any of my other tutorials - I have lots of great information to put into this book. It's in the early stages, so it doesn't have a title, price or cover art quite yet. I just wanted to let everyone know that it is in the works and will hopefully be available at the beginning of the new year.

I do know that the ebook will be geared towards the beginning/novice beadmaker, but will have some information even for the intermediates as well. The book will focus on color theory, application and technical aspects of color, and will have some great color combination recipes and lots of pictures. I'm throwing in pretty much everything I know about the subject - so I hope people will find it useful, inspiring and most of all, fun! I'll keep you updated!

This is so exciting to hear. I look forward to seeing what you have to say besides what I try to obsorb on your blog. I know I am looking forward to reading more on how to combine transparents with opaques better. I know I should know that more but alas I am a slow learner...

Thank you so much for doing this

Your work with color is so inspiring, Kandice! If you "throw in pretty much everything [you] know about the subject," it may be too large to send via email! Can't wait.

I will be all over this - your eye for colour is great, and your colour testing information has given me heaps of inspiration (and the ooomph to try out new colours).
Can't wait!

Sorry all - I've been very sick since Christmas and haven't worked on the book much at all. It's still in the works, I promise. There's a lot more info than I thought, so it will probably take a bit longer than I had hoped. Hopefully I will have more info for you soon! :)

I want to bump this thread, because I'm so excited you are doing this tutorial. Your work and color combinations have always been very inspiring to me. I frequently find myself stalking your website to drool over all the pretty pictures :) Please put me on the list for PM whenever you've got it ready. I am very thankful for your generosity of knowledge to fellow bead makers (you helped me once upon a time with your expertise on your stripe beads), and I cannot wait to see more wonderful work from you.

Thank you Alyssa - that's so sweet!

Right now, I am tentatively thinking that the book will be ready by June....There's a lot going on with me right now, but hopefully by the end of this month, things will clear up and I will have more time to work on the book. I am really excited about it - I love talking about color, and writing about it has been really fun so far. :)
