View Full Interactive Version Of This Page : Green Amber Purple- overstruck?
Can any of you Amber Purple people out there take a look at this heart and let me know if I overstruck it, understruck it, or is this the color it is supposed to be.
Thats a gorgeous color! I work GAP by stirring it a little bit with some 3mm clear, then I flame strike it before it goes in the kiln. I absolutely love GAP b/c you can do so much with it & it always looks great!
OK, I will try stirring it with the 3mm. Good thing that I got a handful of it out of the borobox when it came by. I like GAP a lot too. I had it make these wonderful purples....once. :) Actually I don't have a problem getting it to strike on the surface of a piece so much, but when I use it in an implosion I want it too look good on the front as well as the back. I am funny that way.
that looks like a great green !!
Over struck it.. understruck it?? I don't know, it is what it is.
Green AP is one of those colors that can do a lot of things. I don't consider any of them right or wrong in my work.
I like it tan, purple, green, blue, shiny blue, whatever.
I have a question, am I supposed to work GAP the same way as DAP?? ( heat the crap out if it untill it goes clear, cool and flamestrike *poof*lusious purples and blues, or is this one a bit different? I used it once and all I got was ... green. No streaks, no mist no nothing, just green, same as with BAP and Light BAP, just blue and nothing else...
Lol... Bap Gap Dap... clearly very mysterious insiderinfo
These are some of the colors I get w/ GAP. I work it about the same, but what do I know, 3 months of knowledge/experience w/ Boro here
Carrie - those are beautiful. I tried my rod of whatever that color was that you suggested - greenish teal with stripes (Momka's)? I made a small heart - I like the colors - thanks! It hasn't made it to the kiln yet - have to figure out how to reprogram the kiln for boro. All in due time :)
I like the colors in the heart Eric. Wow Carrie - that's some awesome pressed boro!!!!!!!!!
Here are some beads I made with just GAP and clear. It's easy to strike into the blues and purples, but you have to strike it more than once to get to that stage. If you're getting greens, or blues, you're almost there!
Gap - Wap - Flap - Snap - Dap - Bap - Glap
