Bead Inspired in Chicago -- What's the Scoop?

A few of us are planning to attend the Bead Inspired event. Can anyone tell us what we can expect?

Will there be books and other BOC swag available?

Will BOC kids/parents be there?

If one of the BOC kids shows me their beads, can I give them one of my beads as a "thank you" for sharing their story with me? ;)

Will there be someone collecting Act of Courage beads?

Answers to the questions about the Ed Hoy event from our Communications Director.

The event will be hosted in an area of the Ed Hoy warehouse. The first hour or so will be mingling though the event space. We will have the Beads in Space Exhibit, an area to make a Strength Bracelet for a child, 6 artists will be making beads (some will be Dream Beads), we will have a BoC store with items for sale and a Bead Sponsor and Wingman Bead table. We will have a short program with Jean speaking, a family, a clinician and then more mingling while you enjoy some music. It's going to be a wonderful, inspiring evening. Go ahead and get your tickets so that we can plan for food.

We will have many of the beads from the Bead Design Challenge and othe BoC swag. The new books aren't ready yet so we won't have those.

There will be a BoC family there but not many kids as it isi n a warehouse at night.

You are welcome to give some of your beads as a 'thank you' as stories are shared.

We would love for you to donate Act of Courage beads! We need those!

I'd love to be there myself but it's a long hike from Atlanta. We'll be having a Bead Inspired event here in May. Not quite the same as a Hoy's but it will be fun none the less.
