I am happy to say that we are having our first beadmaking event in Regina, Saskatchewan this Monday, May 21st! There will be 6 awesome artists making beads all afternoon during an open house of the Neil Balkwill Civic Arts Centre. The centre is sponsoring our beadmaking sessions for BOC. (this is run by our city). The centre is a community teaching facility & has other mediums such as woodworking, photography, drawing, painting, jewelry and lampworking.
BOC has also arranged to have staff from our hospitals participate during the open house to spread the word about the program to the public who come thru. I am so excited & proud of my students for stepping up to participate. We are going to continue to do this monthly.
Did I mention I am excited!
