The only things I really want, I think would be that I can have my website there, I would like a mailing list possibility, and maybe a shopping cart thingie.

I have found a provider who would support my site, and these are the things that they offer.

Datatransfer website (per month): 40 GB

Uploadn : via Frontpage en FTP
Back-up possibilties: +
E-mail: 15 POP-mailboxes from 500 MB
E-mailaliasses: Unlimited

Business DSL, ass routeraccount
Website hosting, as account owner
Basic Business Mail

Dedicated Hosting

Security Packet + (this consists of)

McAfee virusscanner
VirusFilters
McAfee firewall

Secured e-mailing

Costs:
Per month: € 23,-
Payment Arrangement: per month, Quarter, half year or year
Mailinglist +
Advanced Business mail +

The Small print:
Contract period: 1 year, after that extended each month
Ending contract: 1 month after the ended of the first following payment due

Would this be enough for me? I need serious information and help in this, because hubby and I are discussing changing our service provider and I want to make the change over as easily as possible. I would basically be transferring my website already to this domain and adding the mailing list at least, with the possibility (hopefully of a shopping cart at a later date).

So if anyone with the know how and the information would be willing to share with me the hows/whats/whos and other information i should be looking for...

I would GREATLY appreciate it!

Thanks in advance!

Hi!
I did a huge amount of research when I did my web site for my store - so I thought I would offer what advice I can.

Look for a web hosting company that will lease you the shopping cart software you desire. Shopping carts are very expensive to have custom programmed, so I found some software that I liked, & then found a host that partnered with them. I lease the software as part of my hosting package and didn't have to spend the $1,200 for the software.

The software I use I Able Commerce & I am pretty happy with it.

Hope this helps!
