Once again, another "situation"...I was using the color "Blue Exotic" and encased the beads with clear, now here it is...the core bead was coming out of the kiln a dark caramel color and the clear encasing was just fine. Did I "burn" the core bead? As described by NorthStar it should have been either a nice blue or reduced to a mirror finish.

This piece of cake I have bitten off is too big for me to chew....HELP!

Ha Ha, I can help. I had the exact same problem. You need an heavy oxy hissy flame, otherwise you will get that color. So, have a hissy fit, and try it again. :lol: Seriously, you can see my same comments about this problem in the following thread.

Ok Eric, Just got done working with this Blue Exotic per YOUR specifications!!!! Well guess what? I turned that oxy up to a nice rattlesnake hissss and achieved gorgeous midnight blue colors with streaks of silver!! Yep, it worked, THANKS A BUNCH!!!
