I know there's a thread somewhere but I just can't find it. Any hints/tips for working with blue silver to get the best colors from it?

Deb ~
Are you talking about silver blue frit, or R4glass (picasso/silver blue mist)?

or the blue silver leaf?
Howaco has a sample bead on their site that looked cool. But I didn't get as much interest in mine.

Blue silver leaf! I think I had a stupid attack! LOL
Deb,
The trick is to burn it off slowly and not completely...you can't cook it or the blue goes away in seconds.
I wrap my bead in the leaf and then gently put it back into the flame...burn off bits here and there and then finish off the bead quickly.
I haven't been able to encase it like some people have...it burns off too quick for me...and I'm on a HH! LOL
Oh and I've had good luck taking an entire leaf, folding it in half and then rolling the bead over it for a thicker coating...

Thanks Amber! What happens if you try to encase it? Does it look funky or does it just do nothing?
Deb,
It actually just looks like regular encased silver for me...I don't get the neat fuschias and blues that JameyLynn did in her bead. :(

The howacoglass.com site was inactive for a couple of weeks while they moved into a new warehouse. They're back open for business and everything is 10% off.

Well, I got it today so we will see! It's going to be a while before I can use it but I'm looking forward to trying it.
