How much oxygen does the Mirage require at the most? I thought that I read that one could run an oxycon on the Lynx center, and then run like tanked or liquid on the outer fire.

I was perusing oxygen concentrator systems, and I ran across this: http://www.ogsi.com/mid_size.php and also on the page somewhere there is a link to calculate your oxygen needs and match oxygen concentrator/generator system to your needs.

I still have liquid oxygen open as far as my oxy options.

The centerfire (the Lynx) requires 14 cubic feet per hour oxygen (6.6 LPM) to run a top end flame (the kind that could make a 2" boro marble). This would be at about 12 psi, or thereabouts. I run a Phantom with the centerfire hooked up to an Integra10 (10 LPM at 9 psi), and it runs the centerfire at about 90% (it has more than enough flow, but falls just shy of the pressure needed for the very top end - but I'm very happy with the 90%).

With the centerfire and outerfire of the Mirage both running together, it takes 50 cubic feet per hour (23.59 LPM). A Mirage can run around 20-25 psi, but GTT recommends 30-40 psi (to compensate for long lines, etc.). There are generators out there that will run it. The Onsite Pro8 is one that comes to mind. They have a Pro4, but I don't know how it would do with a Mirage.

Oops! That would be for the Mirage. I went back and fixed it. Thanks, Robert. The Phantom runs between 35 and 40 cubic feet per hour (16.5 to 18.87 LPM).

If I remmember correct. The PRO4 outputs around 20 LPM of oxygen and I think around 45 PSI.

So this oxygen system would power a GTT Phantom 100% and a GTT Mirage at about 90%.

If you add a storage tank, it may perform better than that.

BTW, that Delta Mag (90 jets) only takes 90 cubic feet per hour oxygen at top end.

In my dreams for now, but this particular machine I do have my sights set on it for the future. My plans are boro sculpture, big stuff and beyond just beads. :D

Hahaha, yeah, it's in my dreams too. Lynx is the first step I plan on going right now. Just wanted to learn on the Lynx before I get more complicated.
