Hi there, any suggestions on what I might be doing wrong..have lots of cool frit I can't use because everytime I do it devits....I try using the back of the flame, more oxygen, more propane, doesn't matter...I have a Bobcat and oxygen concent....It's a problem w/ the evil purple and R108 rods pulled into stringers too..thanks for the help..Laurie

Keeping the evil purple in any form from devitrifying is a challenge. That's tricky. Supposedly, and I have not validated this for myself, it does not like to be reheated. Just heat it up once and don't take it out of flame and put it back in.

I don't know about the raku I have never had it devit. Unless you are using it together with the evil purple, because it can cause the glass it touches to devit, too.
