I've probably missed a thread on this, but any of you have anything to say about this rubino?
Thanks~Lynn

Well, I never wanted to try it because there are rocks in it. Though it is cheaper.

Hi Lynn-
I bought a small amount....haven't tried it yet.
I'll try some out soon and post back here :)
just looking at the rods, there aren't a lot of rocks. Some rods have no rocks....but I'll check to see if there are tiny rocks that would show up in dots or stringer work.....

I got mine from eBay store Galaxy Glass....
it is half the price of regular Vetrofond Rubino...

I got some from moretti and more, and some as a freebie from lbs supply, LOL.
I haven't seen a rock in any of mine yet.....

Hi...I bought a little from Galaxy on ebay and mine is quite smooth. I like it quite well and the price is right. It is seriously pale until it strikes and then the color comes out. It is a little plummier than the other rubino I have; I would say that my expensive rubino is more raspberry. Hope this helps...Elizabeth

I've played with it, just as a base for faux boro stuff, so I can't really tell what color it is under it all, LOL.
It made really nice silvered rubino for galaxy beads, though!
Haven't seen a rock yet, nor tried to get pink from it. I'm just not a really pink kind of person :)
My rods have bubbles in them, sort of like how I imagine seeded glass might look, and it is a bit shocky sometimes. There is a little stone here and there, but they are easy to pluck out. The price was nice, for sure!

I've been using it for about a month now with no problems at all. If I see a 'rock' (more like small gritty bits) I just stop winding, tweeze it off, and keep going. The color strikes very well, unlike some of the fussier batches of rubino.
