Hi..

A newbie here... and have bought a Betta. I am running it on propane and one oxy con. It seems great to me, but I am really not sure what the flame should look like - you know, oxidizing, reducing, neutral etc. I understand that each torch will have it's own characterisitcs, so if anyone has a Betta and has pictures - I would be grateful!

When you are using propane you will see the flame change from solid blue (oxidising), small white tips (neutral), larger yellow tips (reducing). This is fairly typical of an O2/Propane flame. The candles on the Betta are smaller than on torches like the Minor and have a greater angle of spread at the tip. If you go to natural gas it's a whole new ballgame. I did a few months ago and it's been a learning experience. Sorry, no pictures.
