How to use Steinert Mold

I have been wondering how to use those optical Steinert Molds?
Does anyone have one and want to share how to use it/

Bascially you want to form a fairly large gather on your base rod, let it skin over a little bit, then plunge the gather into the mold. If the ridges are not high enough, re-melt, and make your gather a little larger then before then plunge again. Hope this helps!

Be sure to COAT THE INSIDE OF THE OPTIC IN BEES WAX to maintain long life and prevent sticking :) I tacked on a little more info onto your post within the other forum.
