I'm getting a twelve by sixteen shed on ednesday. What type of lighting should I put in? I will have four windows plus a sky light and a loft on one end. I was thinking about putting the torch table at one end of the loft so I need some type of lighting there. Any ideas on that. I hope to get this up and going by the end of December. Geesh that would be wonderful. Also how many amps am I going to need? I have three kilns plus two oxy cons and will have a tv and radio plus space heater. Help? I'm thinking about a hundred amp breaker box. Yes this will be on its own system. So my address might be a quarter or a half. I think this is going to be wonderful. It has taken over forty years to get a space of my own. Yes. It is my Christmas presant plus. Yes. :-)

I have a 12 x 12 shop, and we have one 8' fluorescent light with two bulbs. It's all the light we need. Since yours is 4' longer than mine, you may want two strips of 8' lights.

As far as amps go, you'll need to check with the specific manufacturers of the kilns and concentrators and see how many amps they pull, and then go from there. Although I'd be willing to bet 100 amps will be plenty. We run two kilns, our lights, ventilation, stereo, and a mini fridge off of one 30 amp breaker. There are three separate circuits though.

I run my kiln off a dedicated 15 amp circuit, then have my concentrator, fan and a table light off another (on a GFCI multi-plug) and another plug for another table light and stereo, and also switched overhead lights.
