View Full Interactive Version Of This Page : Is Fuel Hose Useable Now?

Somehow while separating my red/green hoses, I tore a narrow one inch strip from the red where they were joined and can see the metallic mesh. What do I really need to do now? Is duct taping this spot OK? I really don't want to slice and splice since there's not enough length without moving my table.

Probably check it for a leak, spray it with soapy water... No leak, you are probably good.... The outer layer is more for color and protection from abrasion.... I would not even bother taping it, just check it occalsionally... IF there is a leak, discard hose...
