I remember that I say a post somewhere about making an enameled stringer, BUT what the heck do you do with them once you've made them? What properties does that stringer have that regular stringer doesn't?

Thanks!

No particular properties, really, but it expands your color palette.

I haven't tried it myself yet...but I've heard it looks great for flower petals.

Can Pixie Dust be used???? I've got sample packets and never use it....petals might just be the thing....does it burn off?

Lynn, I'm afraid you won't have good luck making a stringer with pixie dust. You'll be better off using it as a surface treatment.

Enameled stringers are great for use on Ivory and Black because they spread and make interesting patterns. They also make very cool dots and floral petal dots.

Lynn, I don't think Pixie Dust can survive the heating and pulling process...but I could be wrong.

Nope, you can't use Pixie dust. It burns off.

this sounds a really clever idea! I love the idea of increasing my colour pallett as well. It would be great to see a few pics of what it looks like on the bead? anyone tried this and got some pics to share?
