How should I attach my HH to the table? I was wandering around a hardware store today trying to figure something out but my brain couldn't work it out. I've tried to search for it here, but I'm not good at searching in this forum and couldn't find anything.

For now I'm using small canisters. If all goes well I'll be moving to bulk fuel in the spring. I can see ways to mount it vertically, but for torching I really need it at an angle.

Thanks.

there are a variety of styles at this link. YOu can probably create one of these at your hardware store:

What I did was to clamp one end of a small L brace to the table, and mount the HH to the top of the L (the back of the L was facing away from the table). I bent the top of the brace slightly forward, so it holdw the torch away from me at an angle. (I did that by clamping the L brace to the table and whapping the top part with a hammer until I had the angle I wanted.)

You need 1 L brace, about 1.5" on each side; a couple of small circular hose clamps, the ones that go down to nothing and only expand about 2", and a large enough C-clamp to clamp down the L angle brace. Oh, yeah, and a hammer and screwdriver.

Clamp the L bracket to the table with the upright side facing toward you, using the C clamp. Whale the bracket until it is the angle you need. Then put the hose clamp around the base of the HH, above where it screws into the hose / canister, and leave it loose, and slip the clamp ALSO over the top of the L bracket. Tighten firmly. Check all your connections and joints every so often.

If you are going to use the cannisters you should get a second hose clamp in a size that will fit oyur canister.

I have a brace on the hothead, and then use a c-clamp to clamp it to the table.
