I am just getting ready to get my beads out of the workshop and into the world. Got a nifty camera, got a cute bead or two and now need a smart person to create something special. Who would you all suggest?

If you want something that looks professional and something that doesn't have a cookie cutter feel of everyone else's, I'd try see if Susan has any time to work on one for you. She is well sought after and an incredible artist. You never know, she may be able to fit you in. It's worth a try and well worth your money.

At least check out her portfolio

Wow, Susan's work is unbelievably wonderful. When I saw her website for the first time (Sprial Glass) I knew she had to be a graphic designer. It is outstanding.

Hello everyone~
Actually, I need to get my act together and get a website and do auctions.
There are a few people out there who know who I am but for the most part I have been a student until now. I am more than ready after five years and counting of lampwork. So, if someone would like to give me a boost as to my best direction, I would love to know. Lori Robbins, has been instrumental in being my mentor and dear friend, along taking classes with several well known artists, like Michael Barley.
Thanks! I look forward to replies.

Is there a way to buy just the web designs from the web designers associated with Pappa Shop?

I have seen many beautiful designs by some of the associated web designers, but I wouldn't need to be hosted.

Just curious...

Gail,

Yes, you can buy just the designs, but then you are left with installing them into the web admin yourself. The great part of the service with Pappashop's Design Partners is that we do the installation of your web design.

Hope that answers your question.

Susan, the date of your post says it's next Thursday. Did I lose four days and not know it?

Susan, I LOVE your designs...they are freakin' gorgeous. Can your designs be added to established Pappashop websites?

Thank you!!! Yes, you can buy one of my designs, and have it installed into your existing pappashop account. I do it all the time with my customers who already have a live site on Pappashop.

That is great news, thanks. If I decide to do a website I'll need to start with a free template and spiff it up later. I'll definitely keep you in mind!

I just bought my web design from Susan (www.splashofmagic.com)
and am hosting via PappaShop.....won't be up for a few weeks due to some family commitments, but I'm really excited and pleased with my interactions with both Susan & Alex! Great customer service.

Pappashop is GREAT! I love it, and would highly recommend it. They have great templates, great customer service and great technical help if you need it. They're the most friendly too!

if you want to go the do-it-yourself route, need a customized blog, or a cms, I recommend http://simple-website-design.com/.

she can take your own design and turn it into a html/css template, wrap a Wordpress blog, stuff like that. and she's building her portfolio back up after having had to take a break to recover from cancer, so her rates are lower right now. she's been one of my best friends for 8 years and is honest, hardworking, and believes in keeping up with current browser requirements and designs for cross-browser compatibility.

I am very suprised that no one has mentioned homestead.com - I have several accounts with homestead - mainly our show dog site www.BadgerCreekDachshunds.com - for the past 5 years or so, and have had no complaints from my other clients -

As far as the design - I do all it all in Photoshop CS2 and upload to the server, but I want something that is not "cookie cutter" or available to anyone else... also, I had experienced as issue with people stealing photos and have had our site html encoded to prevent this... also important for bead sites too.

Just my experience -

I know that you can add a cart with Homestead, but not sure of an auction... the Site Builder is VERY user friendly...

:) Cheers from CA!
