I got some too ... it is apparently a laucha cane that is used to make icicles and etc. Arrow Springs I believe has a little blurb on it. If you search WC you may find some tutorials etc using it.

Essentially, for off mandrel work, you would pull slowly while twisting, then put on a loop.

Can't say I have been the most successful with this, but I also haven't practiced very much

OK, Suzy you can stalk me but I know where you live!!! Let's see....

It is just a clear rod only insted of being round it is a triangle.
I guess I'll just look at it for a while and be thrilled I have it when I get a call for icicles, lol.

Yes Suzy I got your glass and actually went to bed dreaming of how to use it :) I get to torch tonight. I am actually excited to see what rubino might look like over copper green.
You are going to have to wait on the ultrasonic thing, I have to buy coke.

I have some too - came in an exchange. I 'think' that you can use segments of it for the stems of wine glasses etc. - the triangle shape adding an interesting feature beyond the simple round rod. HOW you even make a wineglass though is beyond me... sorta explains why the triangle rods are still on my shelf!!!

Triangular & Round Cased Cane

Triangular cane may be used for stems, etc. in goblets. The triangular shape gives an interesting "cork screw" effect when twisted. Great for icicle ornaments.

how cool!! Who wants to make me an icicle pendant???

I did see that when I google triangle cane. I guess I was hoping for more.

Suzy my avatar is a self portrait I did for a contest - 15 second timed exposure of me taking off my shirt, lol. The big version is kinda cool because you can see me looking at you too.
