Creating Depth In Florals

I'm going to make this work if it KILLS me!!! I know that you achieve the depth/individual petal layers by adding a thin coat of clear over each layer of shaped petals. My question is do you put it on as a dot on the outer portion of each petal or over the entire bead surface.....I'm thinking the beads would get BIG really fast if were encased with each layer of petals.....am I anywhere close??? Guess I will have a sheet of questions for the floral class in a couple of weeks at J Ring.

I put a dot on each petal, and make sure to completely cover the petal....... melt in and add more petals. Hope this helps!
