Very happy with myself and my first attempt at a hollow bead, pictures tomorrow. So very happy, as I said, however I have a bunch of bead release stuck on the inside. I have a feeling that you are going to tell me that I need a new tool to clean this crap out........am I right??? ](*,) ](*,) ](*,)

Hahahaaaaa!
So you got the torch all hooked up and you are makin' beads! Yay!
Yup that cleaning out hollows part sucks!
I have heard people use water picks but I just got my long pointy remer out and stabbed the bead release bits into itty bitty pieces (while they were wet) and I kept washing it out and blowing the crud out, with my mouth even :-D
So call me a blow hard if you want but it worked pretty good LOL
Yep, I was going to say Blow Baby Blow !

soaking in white vinager helps too. just make sure you get vinager inside the bead, then rinse and blow!

I unbend a large paper clip and use it to smush all the release. Then gently guide it out through the hole. Not a fancy tool, but it works.

I use a standard diamond reamer to clean out the holes, set it aside to dry, and then blow out the dusty bits with canned air. Works like a charm!
I use a syringe with a long point plastic curved end that the dentist gave me to clean out the hole in my gum after I had my wisdon teeth taken out. It didn't work well for cleaning out my teeth, but it works pretty well for cleaning out a hollow bead. It is small enough that you can shot the water where you need it.

Who knew there would be so much cleaning involved in these beads, I made 2 more yesterday and I love them!! Thanks for moving the thread and thanks for the great tips. I think the next ones I will make be will on a bigger mandrel if I have to break all that bead release up. Well off to buy some vinegar and some small stabby tools.

I use my dremel (I have a flex shaft) in water. First I ream the openings on both ends while in the water - and all that tornadic action swirling inside will break the bead release up and then just pour it out.
Then I clean several times with some alcohol or windex. I place them on something absorbant like a maxi pad, *snort* :D hole side down and all the moisture is sucked away from the inside.
