:p

I sold my Corina book and it had suggestions for how to mix white and black so they don't bleed into each other. For the life of me, I cannot remember the combinations. Is it better to use one brand over the other?

Right now I have white effetre and black, intense black effetre. Is there a difference with the lauscha black and white?

Hi Kitty! If you're talking about decorations, put the white on the black. If you put black on top of white, it'll bleed purple. She further adds that black has a tendency to bleed into any opaque color placed on top of it, in which case, work it cooler, or encase it with a thin layer of clear. As an alternative, she states that dark transparent amethyst or gray can be substituted for black. Those colors appear black unless held up to a bright light source. By the way, the intense black will "web" easily. I have both moretti and lauscha black. I've never had a problem with the lauscha. It's stiffer and takes more abuse. Beyond that, I can't say if there's a difference.

What about mixing "black" with dark ivory? Maybe it's better to use Vetrofond ivory?

Thanks
