Vetrofond odd lots, parrot green and tangerine

Hi All-
Well, my sister picked out several single rods to give me for Christmas. I've never used any Vetrofond, only Effettre (sp?). Anyway, I'm totally in LOVE with the green parrot pastel and the tangerine! I haven't even tried anything yet, I'm just in love with the rods! Since these are odd lots, I'm thinking I should get out there and hoard some more. Where do you guys like to buy your Vetrofond glass?

Hey, Ana! I hope you enjoy the rods, that's a great gift (I love anyone who gives me glass!). Remember lots of glass looks totally different once you melt and anneal it. I'd try the glass before you purchase large quantities. :) (I love the parrot, my tangerine.....let's just say not so much!)

Funny- I love my tangerine and the parrot just sits there...
Odd lots are a quirky bunch- most have at least some fans though

Thank guys! Today is the first day since Christmas that I will get a chance to play! Some other colors that I also received that I've never tried before: copper green, red roof tile, and avacado. I also received some transparent light brown, so I get to try that "boro" technique. I'm pretty excited!

Also, my son got a digi camera for Christmas, so maybe I'll actually be able to post something. All this time and I've never posted any beads!!!

Is the tangerine the same as the perfect Orange? # 937? I've been gathering a list of glass to order in the New Year (funds permitting) and want to be sure I don't order what I already have!

No Intense Tangerine 791939 is alot brighter, more like orange koolaid. The 937 Perfect Orange is, well, harder to work with and you really have to work it to bring out the orange color.

Parrot Green, Key Lime Green, Pineapple Sparkle, Intense Tangerine, Perfect Orange are odd lots that all came out at the same time.
