i'm about to try and work with some float glass. i now have my shortwave uv lamp to detect the tin side. logic says it's the side that glows that's the tin-coated side - at least this is what i think - am i right?! has anyone worked with float glass and inclusions? i'm going to try copper sheet with it and hope it works! i could get a big order out of it. if anyone has any knowledge of working with float, I'm all ears!! cheers

I think that's right. I'll check with my fusing friends just to be sure.

I know I've seen this discussed on http://www.warmglass.com. Try searching there. :)

The tinned side is the side with the milky film on it.

For anyone wondering what float glass is, it is really cool how they make it. They pour molten glass onto molten tin. The glass floats on top (hence the name) and is perfectly flat.

I just thought that the process of making it sounded really neat.
