Hi,

Is there a filigrana purple, or can anyone help me making my own purple rod to make such a bead as shown in the picture?
I have tried it, but the pastel collor seems to blend into the transparant.

Thanks for your help!

That looks like the pink filigrana to me ! There is a white core encased in pink with clear on the outside.

Here is some info from Howaco's web site

Silvia that is pink filigrana. You need the rubino over white one, if you need help, pm me, I can tell you exactly where to get it in the Netherlands

Hi

There is NO purple filligrani. If you want to make your own start with a white rod, wrap purple (I like lauscha but sometimes there are compatability issues with lauscha) or ink blue moretti around the rod, cover about half an inch to an inch of the rod, try to marver that in a bit, then encase in clear, I would stripe the clear on and flatten as you go. Attach a clear punty onto the rodless end then burn off the white rod and put a clear rod on that end too.

Heat up the blob and take it out of the flame, pull it out very slowly like you would if you were trying to get a fat stringer, and you will have purple filligrani. They should make it, it would be pretty!

Ink blue over a whit core, encased thickly with clear makes a nice filigrana. ~Juliet
