I have some things that I will be putting in the Garage (swap shop) after Bead and Button...they are all in the original boxes too. Necklace displays, trays, tray inserts, etc.
If you are in a rush...a good place to start is Rio Grande. :D
I know a great place for table coverings too...let me look it up.
yes storesupplywharehouse is awsome! i love to go their in person in St louis, MO to see what they have on sale!

I got a ton of my display stuff necks, hands, bars that I call roadbumbs cause that is what they look like to me.
Anyway I got a whole grocery cart full of them when Service Merchandice went out of business.
I know that doesn't help you here and now. But look for any store you know going out of business that may have sold jewlery. Dirt cheap is what I got mine for, the whole cart for 50.00.

My wife Vivian and I do a LOT of shows and have bought quite a few display related items.
The absolutely best prices we've seen has been Nile Corporation.

We just compared some prices in Rio Grande against Nile and Nile was LESS THAN HALF of what Rio Grande wanted !!
Here is one of the Nile trays with pieces I cut, added to make it into a bead display.

Bill,
Are your mandrel just layed in there?
Or did you actually drill hole in the boxes?
Looks like a great idea cause you could tag each mandrel with a different price tag and have them ready to go for the show.

Shawn,
They are just laying in there, so that it is easy to pick one out and slide a bead off. I have a very complete woodworking shop, so it was pretty easy for me to make them. What I did was cut the notches across the face of a 2 x 4, and then cut 1/4" wide "slices" end to end on the 2 x 4. There is a bottom piece of wood too, that keeps the side pieces standing up.
Here is a close-up of the notches.

Yes for jewelry boxes, displays for jewelry, etc. I buy all of mine at www.nilecorp.com I have checked EVERYWHERE and they by FAR have the best prices!
For my show stuff I got like 40+ Busts, 50+ bracelet ramps, 30+ earring stands, 20+ velvet pads, 100+ cotton filled boxes, 20+ Nice Gift Boxes, 1000 shopping bags, 400+ organza bags, 1000 repair envelopes, mirror, 10 acrylic display cases, 1000 u-pins, gift wrap paper w/ cutter, 1000 price tags and I know I must be forgetting stuff...
But just to give you an idea, I got all of this for around $450. Everywhere else I checked would have been well over $1000.

I have some really nice cherrywood, glass-faced shadow boxes that I got at Michaels.
Thank y'all for the Nile web info. I previously had my own store and if I had only known about this place when I first opened it, I would have definitely saved a ton of money. I must have spent 5 grand on displays that probably would have only been 1 grand on their website. Even the 10 drawer storage unit I paid $80 for on ebay and I can't believe it is only $45 on the website. Makes me kinda ill but glad I know about it now.
