Light bulb moment for me off mandrel loop

It may not be new but came to me in the middle of the night and had to try it yesterday.

These 9mm Czech glass donuts make easy loops for off-mandrel work. I strung a bunch of them on 1/8" mandrel and keep them warm in the kiln. Slip one off the mandrel using tweezers when the glass is ready for loop. To be safe, I did use Czech ivory. I will try this on other COE104 today.

That technique also works for making handles on vessels.

You can make spacer beads with whatever glass you are using and anneal them and clean them. Then, put them back in the kiln and slowly bring them up to a garage temp. They will be ready to attach.
