Has anyone done this? Corina mentions on her site that she went to see Roger Parramore demo the technique. I'm curious as all getout!

I am going to move this to the tips techniques and questions section cuz if someone answers I want it to stick around
well, it seems that the normal goblets, (as opposed to crystal--) are compatable with bullseye. so if you make a sculpture of some sort from bullseye, garage it, then snap the stem on the goblet, you can just weld it in.
The normal caution in warming and flame annealing would apply 8-)
then doing a kiln anneal would be in order.
You could probably bring the two goblet parts up to temp in the kiln and have them hot and ready if you felt more comfortable doing it that way.

I know you can buy goblet tops and bottoms (I've been meaning to do that for the longest time. LOL!) but I'd never heard of removing the middle part before. Sounds cool!

Tink, just any goblets from the store--you dont have to get the "special ones". apparently they are mostly all 90 coe. so you can add an inclusion in the stem, or even decorate the goblet bowl a bit if your gentle ;)
a big marble in the stem maybe...
Time to run to the dollar store... Weeeeee!

I watched demos from Cheryl and Robin Poff at Peg's last weekend. Pretty cool. Cheryl or Robin said that they got their glasses at Ikea.
