Just curious if there is a #1 "go-to" source for Reichenbach and Kugler rod.
Best price, selection etc..
As far as I know Olympic Color is the main distributor?
Thanks for any info ;~)

I get mine from Olympic Color. Can't get any better selection than that!

The Kugler they have is mostly NOT canes for lampworking.

Hot Glass in Seattle, which is about 4 blocks from OCR has more canes, I think.

If you order from Olympic Color Rod, make sure you don't accidentally order
this size of rod. I took these pictures there (with permission) because i was
so amazed at how big they were.

LOL! Good points. If you order from Olympic Color, just click on the "Lampworking" button and you'll get their complete line of small canes.
They have a wonderful selection of the Reichenbach colors. They do not carry Kugler.

Thanks for all the replys all, I'll probably give Olympic a try..and great pics Elaine ;~) I've done some furnace work and that's the only context I've seen Kugler before (in the realm of furnace glass). I've only seen the big chubs like the ones in Elaines photos when it comes to Kugler. It's generally stock for furnace workers to melt down in a crucible or heat in the kiln and pull down with a partner and some full size stainless punty rods..
On the beadmaking scale I suppose you could crack them up into big chunks, heat them in the kiln, then punty on with a boro rod to pull into workable stringers or rods, but it would have to be a rather awesome color to make that worthwhile...Kugler does have some killer reduction glass though...

I like hotglasscolor.com for Kugler cane. I just bought a boatload of beautiful blues & greens from them in Tucson. Great service, nice folks!

Hello everybody!
KUGLER has his own COE 104-line for beadmaking. But at this time only Arrow Springs sell it, but OCR is since 2000 no distributor of KUGLER any more... I´ve heard he did not pay his invoice... Give hotglasscolor.com a call to get sticks of COE 96 and after April 1st 2007 they and all other distributors also will sell sticks of COE 104... I heard rumors about it

Just make sure you purchase cane and NOT rod and you won't have to pull your own :)
