Ok, for those of you asking about how I do my plaids, I've made up a little tutorial for ya!
Make a base bead (usually white) and add a fairly thick straight stringer of transparent color around the center. Melt in.

I then use a thin stringer of an opaque colors on top of the fat transparent and go around the center. Melt in.

I then place in 4 (or 6 if you put the lines together close) going from hole-to-hole in 4 equal spaces around the bead. I use either opaque or transparent. Melt in.

I then go around the bead on each side of the 1st large line around the center of the bead with thin stringer in either transparent or opaque. Melt in.

I usually use 2 opaques and 2 transparents or really whatever would look good! This is an excellent practice for stringer control!! Trust me!! Here's an example of some recent plaids I did. As you can see there are endless color combos that you can play with! To make them look more like a homespun plaid, etch them. :)

Anne, your plaids are great. I got the Creation Station at the Gathering and it is the bestest purchase I have make in a while. I don't know how I lived without it.

Giggle....Anne you are so much younger in person than your photo here. I had a blast - I'm still recouperating. . . and it was great to meet you too. Now I have a personality to place with your lucious beads.

Anne - do you ever come out to Tucson for the Gem and Mineral Show? There is a lampwork part of the show that most people don't know about.
I'd love to watch you do your thing. I was going to start the Nucleus bead tutorial today but people came over and I never got started, now I have a plaid tutorial to do also.
