Is there such a color as transparent white? If so, where do you buy it? I have seen beads that are etched that look white and are transparent. Can anyone help me? These beads were made for weddings.
Thanks,
Mallory

Effetre's anice white is milkier (more translucent) than the regular white. The opalino white is translucent, too. You still couldn't see through them, though.
I'm having a hard time picturing "transparent white."

I think what you might be talking about is clear glass, after etching, appears translucent white. There is also veiled cane, (calienteglass.com, ggglass.com etc), I think I've seen it in white, which is more like clear glass with white wisps in it.

The CIM (Color is Messy) Cirrus is a transparent white that is 104 compatible.
Bullseye also has one - it looks like moonstone and you can strike it to varying shades of transparency. It is called translucent white.
I don't think I have every seen one in COE 96 but I think the Uroboros firelight opal is close.

The Effetre opalinos and albasters whites are translucent, and I think etched they would be wonderful. It's worth a try. But these rods (esp the albasters) are a pain to work with and can give you problems like bubbling and burning. It's best to work them as cool and as slow as you can. :)
These are all rough pictures... Beads not cleaned yet..

Is this what the halogon and peacock & cirrus are supposed to look like?
I get a lot of bubbles though - I made another peacock today and did not work it so hot - less bubbles.
Thank you in advance.

I now have a question I have been putting off asking....kind of a duh ?
Transparent rose Moretti What is up with this color??? Beautiful color – after I anneal it it turns like almost a dark funky dirty pi nk – I know it’s not my O2 & propane cause I deliberately didn’t anneal one of my beads just put it in fiber blanket and it was the most beautiful clear pink ever!!! Any body have this problem??? I need help I want to work with this stuff but I don’t want to make anything with it if I can’t anneal it for durability…please help!
Thanks for any advice
