Nothing fancy just a straight boom to use for my camera to shoot down. I can make one if i have to just would rather not spend the time doing it. Nothing at Walmart and ebay they are pretty extravagant and those not too bad on price they want 29.00 shipping! I hate when they pad hte shipping! jerks Anyway andy help or the correct "name" may help with google search. I got a lot of video camera booms...

A solid platform is worth it's weight in gold! Don't seek bargains. Spend the money on rigid support. It will pay for itself in the long run.

How about a microphone stand with boom attachment....

Go look at local music store a see if it may be acceptable. Only problem may be adapting the threads on stand to those on camera..... Any handy person should be able to adapt "something"....

Just a weird random thought....

This is what I use : http://www.sharpics.com/Products/monopod.html I screw the base onto something and then swing it over my target. You can also go to Tabletop Studios. They are selling a tripod with a horizontal arm http://store.tabletopstudio-store.com/tabletoptripod.html hope this helps.
