I saw some propane tanks in the BBQ section of HomeDepot. They look just like the regular tanks we use, just smaller (not the little portables for camp stoves)- maybe half the capacity. Does anyone know if the pressure would be the same? I need to do a demo and would like to "lighten the load" and not haul my big tank.

Thanks!
Vanessa

Yes.. Jokersdesign is correct.

Smaller propane tanks come in 4.25lb, 11lb and 14lb varieties.

The only negative is that you have to refill them, nobody will exchange them...And you may have to pay premium pricing as they will not often meet the minimum charge ($$$) some filling stations have to start up pump...

The same safety rules apply as do for the larger tanks (20lb and up).

Oh thankyou Joker and Dale! But rats, I forgot about paying that minimum charge for "less than" refills. I'm assuming my regulator should still be used also?
